This is my 29th year of teaching, 7th at CHS and 18th in the district. I have taught many sets of siblings (probably some of yours), am privileged to teach with former students (ask and I will tell you), and it won't be too much longer until I am confronted with children of former students! The most important things you need to know about me are that I love what I do (most days), I believe you all can succeed (even though it may look different for each of you), I have extremely high expectations (and will do everything in my power to help you meet them), I have a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor (and if you don't find that funny, keep reading...), and I am a firm believer that open and honest communication can eliminate most problems (my door is always open). I am 50 years old (I don't lie about my age), my birthday is Sept 16 (I love jelly beans), I have 3 children/teenagers who I often use as examples for lots of different reasons (Jessica who graduated from CHS in 2017, Spencer and Gregory who live in Ross), and I live on the north side of Dayton so I spend a LOT of time in my car (I don't miss many days of school and I'm here early and late most days). If you want to know, ask. If I don't want you to know, I won't answer! YOU are my first priority and I take that very seriously.
